Our Story

Built on Real Connection

Oconee Hospitality started close to home. Meghan Ketterman is a native of Oconee County, raised on her family's beef cattle farm, where she gained the true value of a hands-on approach to business. She taught high school agriculture for six years, then spent time in a corporate career before starting her own. In October 2017, she and her husband Jared listed their first short term rental, and that one home led them to keep investing in and preserving properties, and creating spaces for other people to enjoy.

What we value

More of our story

From there we grew into caring for other owners' homes. We focus on short term rentals in the foothills mountain lake region of Oconee County, whether a home sits tucked away on a cove of Lake Keowee, nestled in the foothills, or positioned on the mountains. Meghan and Jared still love creating and designing the spaces themselves, and Meghan puts her personal touch on everything from communicating with guests to the first impression when someone walks in the door. Rather than building a large portfolio of listings, we work with an exclusive number of homeowners so we can stay focused on their needs and goals.
